Sunday Riley U.F.O Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil

Hey guys!
So you probably won’t know, but I suffer from oily, acne prone skin and everything seems to break me out, which really sucks! I’ve been using the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate for a couple of years now but fancied a change so started hunting online to try and find something that would focus more on clearing my skin. Everywhere I looked I noticed Sunday Riley products keep popping up. I did some research and decided to splurge on their new U.F.O Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil from Space NK.

U.F.O contains 1.5% Salicylic Acid, and is designed to help fight acne and clear congested pores. It contains a number of beneficial plant oils to calm, rehydrate and protect skin, including cucumber seed oil, jojoba oil, pomegranate oil and flax seed oil.

The oil, which retails at £68, comes in a chic glass bottle and has a dropper dispenser. It’s a bright alien green colour (which I love) and has a really strong herbal scent, which you’ll either love or hate, but I kind of like it. It goes onto the skin really nicely and absorbs pretty fast.

At first I was a bit worried that it would irritate my skin because it has such a strong scent, however I was really pleasantly surprised. I’ve been applying 3 drops of this to my freshly cleansed face every night and I noticed a massive difference after only a couple of days. My skin started to clear up (yey), my red acne scars started to fade and my skin kind of had a glow to it. I’ve even had complements from people telling me how much better my skin looks which feels absolutely amazing!

I feel a lot more confident now to go out without makeup on, which to me is great because normally I have full foundation on wherever I go! Now I know it’s quite a pricey product and I don’t normally splurge on skincare, however personally I think it’s worth paying because of how well it works with my skin. To me, U.F.O really is an out-of-this-world product and I would really recommend it to others who also suffer from acne prone skin.

If you know of any fab skincare products to try let me know in the comments and I hope you enjoyed this post :)

New Start – Studying SFX Makeup!

Hey guys, where do I even begin!
Firstly, I hope you’re all well. As you probably know, I’ve not posted on here in soo long it’s ridiculous. When I finished my fashion course last year, I kind of lost track and interest in posting, my brain was pretty much fried, I would start a post and then delete it all because I just couldn’t get my ideas out properly. I decided to put my blog to rest for a while (which ended up being a little over a year ahh) so I could give myself time to get re-inspired, which is exactly what I’ve done!
For as long as I can remember I’ve wanted to study Theatrical makeup because I love gross/bloody makeup haha, so that’s what I decided to do. I enrolled at college for another year and am studying Theatrical and Media Makeup and couldn’t be happier. I feel so excited for everything, including starting my blog up again :)
To ease myself back in, I thought I’d leave you guys with a few photos of my first piece of sfx makeup I created!

LUSH – THE EXPERIMENTER

Hi everyone, so the other day I was in Lush and finally managed to get my hands on their new The Experimenter bath bomb so I thought I’d show you how amazing it is.

After discovering this bath bomb was originally just limited to Lush’s Oxford Street store I was pretty gutted because it looked so intriguing and I had to have it. Then when they finally announced that it was going to be made available nationwide I was so excited!

I don’t think I’ve ever been as excited about a bath bomb as I was about this one, all of the colours just look so fab! It’s described as ‘your own bathtime motion picture’ and I completely agree, it’s so exciting to watch, and for only £3.95!

As soon as I dropped this into my bath it immediately started to fizz about and created a rainbow of foam, which looked incredible! The colours were so vibrant and bold, it just made it so fun and exciting. Definitely the coolest bath bomb I’ve ever seen! Once it had completely fizzed away, it left the water a really nice deep purply/green colour. I don’t know why but I absolutely love having a dark coloured bath haha.
Another great thing about this bath bomb is that it contains gold glitter, which just makes it even better! Kind of reminds me of mermaid water, I loved it!

lush experimenter2When I first went over to it and picked it up in the shop I was quite surprised by the scent of this because I was kind of expecting it to smell very sweet, similar to the Creamy Candy bubble bar. It smells a bit woody and kind of spicy, which I actually prefer more because I think it’s a lot more relaxing. You can definitely pick up on the vanilla at times though.

The only thing about this bath bomb is that it didn’t leave my skin feeling as soft as the others do, however I wasn’t too bothered by this because the colours and the glitter made up for it. I would definitely purchase this again, it’s so lovely. You can buy it here – The Experimenter

TOPSHOP METALLIC CREAM BLUSH IN AORTA

blush edit 3Hi everyone! I picked up this cream blush the other day and thought I would show you because it’s so pretty.

Whenever I go into Topshop I spend far too long looking at the makeup stand, there’s so many really pretty colours and I love the packaging!
I’ve had my eye on this cream blush for soo long, swatching it every single time I went in, however I never purchased it because I don’t really ever wear blush, never mind cream blush. When I went in Topshop the other day, I noticed it was in the sale for only £4 so I had to pick it up, I couldn’t resist any longer!
blush edit 5

blush edit 4Aorta is a gorgeous metallic cranberry colour, I absolutely love it! As it’s a cream blush, it’s really easy to blend into your skin, leaving you with a subtle, metallic finish. At first, I was a bit worried because it’s quite dark to look at, but when it’s applied it’s kind of like a natural flush of colour.

As it is a metallic blush, I think it would look so pretty in the summer because it has a really nice hint of shimmer, so when it catches the sunlight it would look so pretty!

blush edit 6I definitely want to try out some more cream blushes, so if you know any nice ones, let me know in the comments :)

*UPDATE* LILASH – HAS IT WORKED?

Hi everyone, so today I have my LiLash update for you. I’ve just finished my 12 week period using LiLash so I wanted to let you know how I got on with it and how incredible it is!

I received this eyelash serum in March and have used it every day since. For best results, you apply a layer of the serum to the skin just above your lashes. I used to do this every night before I would go to bed because I didn’t have any makeup on, although you can apply this before you apply your makeup.

I can’t even describe how much I have loved using LiLash. Before I would never go out with just mascara on, I would always wear eyeliner because I felt my lashes were too short, however now I hardly wear eye liner because I’m so happy with how much my lashes have grown. As you can see, before my lashes were so short and stumpy, even my bottom ones were longer than them. Now my top ones are so long and I really love them!

The only thing was that the first few weeks of applying it I noticed it would sting a little bit, but as soon as my eyes were used to it, it was completely fine; Because of this, I was a little worried that if I got any in my eye it would really sting, but it actually didn’t sting one bit, it was completely fine!

I would 100% recommend LiLash to you all because I found it absolutely amazing and I am so so happy with the results! A huge thank you to Paige for sending this to me and allowing me to try it out, it’s incredible!

Let me know in the comments if you’ve tried this before and whether it worked as great for you :)
