Recent Empties / Products I’ve Used Up

empty products editHi everyone, so recently I finished a few beauty products and thought I’d show you what they were. Personally I love being nosy and seeing what everyone’s used up, so I thought I’d show you some of my recent empties.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau de Parfum – £56

For ages this has been one of my all time favourite perfumes, it smells absolutely amazing! I’m not very good at describing scents, but it’s kind of musky and floral. Online, it’s described as having soft notes of wild strawberry, violet leaves and red grapefruit, combined with a heart of jasmine and violet petals plus gardenia. It’s a very feminine scent and one of my absolute favourites!

empty products edit2Malin + Goetz Vitamin E Face Moisturizer – £37

I received this sample with an ELLE Magazine some time ago and only started using it recently, and it actually really it. When I first started using it I thought it was breaking me out on my chin so I started to only apply it to my under eye are and it’s really lovely. Since it contains chamomile, allantoin and milk, it soothes my skin and leaves it really soft. I’ll definitely be purchasing the full version!

Tea Tree Pore Minimiser – £7.50

If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know how much I love this product! I use it every single day under my foundation and it really makes a difference. Such a good product for £7.50 so I recommend buying one for yourself!

empty products edit3They’re Real! Mascara – £19.50

This used to be my holy grail mascara a while back until I started using L’Oréal Telescopic, then I kind of forgot about it. It caught my eye in my draw the other day and I got really excited because I forgot I had it, then when I opened it I noticed it had dried up, which  was pretty disappointing, but at least I got my use out of it.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer – £4.19

This is the best £4.19 I’ve ever spent! I am obsessed with this concealer, it works so great at brightening my under eye area, I love it! It lasts forever on my skin and is pretty much full coverage, so good coming from something so cheap. I’ve just finished scraping the tube to get the last remaining bits out, so I definitely think it’s time I stocked up on it haha. By far my favourite concealer, and I recommend it 100%.

MAC Cinderella ♡

Hi everyone, so today I have a really exciting post for you! As you’ll all probably know, MAC collaborated with Disney to come up with the very gorgeous Cinderella Collection, inspired by the new Cinderella movie, which will be released very soon. Being a huge Disney and MAC fan this was soo exciting for me, I knew I needed to get something!

When the collection release online last week, I was lucky enough to pick up a lipstick and powder, although I did really want the palette ): However I’m just happy I managed to actually get something before it all sold out.

MAC CINDERELLA EDIT4Personally, I think the pearlised light blue packaging with the gold is absolutely stunning and fits the Cinderella theme perfectly. I know some people have compared it to something you’d buy for a child, but I disagree, I really like it! I definitely feel like Cinderella herself would approve haha.

Coupe D’Chic Iridescent Pressed Powder – £23

I’m kind of disappointed with this pressed powder, it’s a light peachy gold colour with gold shimmer, and is so beautiful in the pan! However when I apply it to my cheek bones, it hardly shows up, which is kind of annoying. It’s kind of like a very, very subtle highlighter. The main problem I have with this is it needs building up quilt a lot to get a good colour pay off simply because it’s so sheer. It is very pretty though once it’s been built up.

MAC CINDERELLA EDIT 7Free As A Butterfly Lustre Lipstick – £17

I originally wanted the Royal Ball lipstick, but it was sold out so I went for this one and i’m so pleased I did. It’s described as a semi-sheer golden nude, and is so so pretty. I tend to stick with more brown based nudes, however I think this would look lovely over the top of a mauve lip pencil, just to darken it up a bit.

MAC CINDERELLA EDIT17As you can see in the swatches, with only 2 strokes Free As A Butterfly is so pretty. For Coupe D’Chic, I used  about 6 strokes to get that finish and it’s still hardly visible. I would say that it’s best for lighter skin colours, simply because it is so sheer.

If you’ve tried any of the other Cinderella products let me know in the comments what you think of them, and if you haven’t let me know what you’d like to try (:

LiLash And LiBrow – Will It Really Work?

Hi everyone! So yesterday I received this fabulous little package in the post from LiLash and just had to tell you all about it.

I have always been a one for trying to make my lashes look longer and thicker because they’re so short, which can be really annoying. I go through endless amounts of mascara trying to get the look I want and nothing seems to work. Having never tried an eyelash serum before, I thought it was about time I gave one a go. I discovered LiLash a few weeks ago and did a bit of research. The results looked incredible! I got in contact with the company and received this lovely package in the post yesterday, and I’m so excited to try it and review it for you all (:

So LiLash and LiBrow come in 2 different sizes, the original and the Demi, which is the one I received. The product takes up to 12 weeks until you see the final result, which I don’t think is bad at all. I’m desperate for bigger lashes so I don’t mind the wait.

LILASH EDIT 3I’m a sucker for packaging, and I think the LiLash packaging is so elegant and sophisticated, I really like it. I especially love how the box came wrapped in purple ribbon, gave it a really nice touch.

This is the current length of my lashes with and without mascara, as you can see they aren’t really the longest and could do with a good boost.

Today is the first day i’ve used the LiLash serum, I’ll let you know how I get on with this serum in about 6 weeks, keeping you up to date with images. If you fancy trying this product for yourself, visit the Lilash site, and if you’ve already used it or something similar let me know in the comments (:

First Impression – Benefit Puff Off

Hi everyone, hope you’re having a good day! Today I thought I’d do a first impression for you on a great product I bought recently.

I’ve been pretty obsessed with Benefit recently, so as soon as heard about Puff Off, I knew I was going to be purchasing it. So that’s what I did, I saved my money and bought it. I have no regrets at all! As well as Puff Off, I also bought their new release, Roller Lash,  which I will be doing a review on very soon, so keep your eye out for it (:

Right let’s get started. I tend to stay up late most nights watching PLL and catching up on youtube, who doesn’t?! So when I get up on a morning my eyes are always puffy and horrible. I’ve never found anything that actually helps soothe the puffiness until I tried this little beauty.

The packaging (which is so cute) claims that this eye gel makes puffies and creases look “satiny smooth”, and I have to agree, it’s such a good little product! The iron tip on the end really helps cool my under eyes and makes them feel really soft and refreshed, just what I want on a morning. It literally feels as though it’s been in the fridge, it’s amazing! Plus I have really dry skin and it leaves my undereye really hydrated, therefore it creates a great base for makeup since it leaves my skin feeling great.

You get a 10ml tube for £22.50, which is pretty pricey, but it is a high end product so you kind of expect it. Personally, I think it’s worth the price because it works wonders on my undereye area. It not only leaves my skin feeling great, but it leaves it looking great to, the pink gel really brightens my dark circles.

I’ll leave a link here incase you fancy trying it for yourself, which I definitely think you should – Benefit Puff Off
Let me know in the comments if you know of anything similar to this and what you favourite Benefit product is (:

Pore O’Clock With Benefit Cosmetics

Screen Shot 2015-02-22 at 19.44.07Hi everyone, hope you’re feeling fabulous! In case you didn’t know, Benefit ran a nationwide competition throughout January to win a #poreoclock party to celebrate the  POREfessional primer and the wonderful people of Newcastle tweeted, posted and Instagrammed their way to winning! I was lucky enough to be invited to the party so I thought I’d make a little post to tell you all about it.

The party took place between 4pm-9pm on Saturday 21st February at Madame Koo in Newcastle, and what a party it was! On arriving the first 300 guests through the door received a free POREfessional goody bag, which was amazing! There was so much to enjoy, including :

· Bene-photobooth
· Makeuppers
· Competitions and giveaways
· Free bubbles, nibbles and great music

IMG_3939The first place I stopped at was the makeup stations to get my makeup done by the very beautiful Benebabes. Who doesn’t love a free makeover?! I only got my eyebrows touched up because I quite liked my makeup and didn’t want to change it haha. All the staff were so lovely and pleasant, which was great and helped make the night even better!

IMG_0991After hitting the photobooth with Abbie (www.abigaillouisex.wordpress.com) a fair few times (which was so much fun), I had a lovely little chat with one of the many SpyGals, who very kindly posed for a photo with the very popular POREfessional primer. Here’s a link incase you fancy trying the primer, which I would highly recommend – https://www.benefitcosmetics.co.uk/product/view/the-porefessional

IMG_0992Throughout the night, little white and pink tokens were being given out, entitling each guest to a free drink, which was such a good idea considering they were given out regularly. I love how they even had a twist  on the drinks by having vodka with pink lemonade, making it more girly and fun. The pink lemonade literally tasted like Turkish Delight, which was amazing!

IMG_0989The goody bags we received were amazing! Each bag included:

· a POREfessional mousemat
· sticky notepad
· makeup clutch
· silk scarf
· mini POREfessional primer

Throughout the night, there were loads of giveaways and chances for people to win prizes, including some of the recent limited edition Christmas tins. I received a couple of the little alarm clocks, which  are so cute, a couple more primers, a couple of BAD gal pocket mirrors and my favourite thing, an umberella! I was so excited to try mine out that when I put it up I broke it, which is so annoying haha.

IMG_1014To round it all up, I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Benefit for making my night absolutely amazing, and for the fab goodies! Hopefully we can have a lot more parties like this in the near future!

Lots of love

March Beauty Wishlist

Hi everyone, hope you’re well! I know I’ve slacked a bit when it comes to my monthly beauty wishlist having only posted one, however I’m back today with my March Beauty Wishlist and check me, I’m even a bit early haha.

1. Benefit Puff Off eye gel
recently tested this eye product at my local Benefit counter and instantly wanted to buy it. I love how it has a little bit on the end that looks like an iron, it’s so cute haha.

2.  Benefit IT’S POTENT eye cream
‘ve had the mini version of this for a while and I absolutely love it! It helps my concealer stay put and really soothes my under eye area. Really want to purchase the full size pot.

3. MAC Cinderella palette
As soon as I heard MAC were collaborating with Cinderella I knew it would be something special. When I saw the palette I instantly fell in love! I know that almost all of the shadows are permanent at MAC, however I find the way they’re paired in this palette makes them more attractive. Also the packaging is to die for! I’m dying to get my hands on the this little beauty when it’s released!

4.  Hourglass Ambient Lighting palette
‘ve seen so many good reviews of this product and I think it looks so beautiful! The only thing that’s stopping me from buying it is that it’s pretty pricey, however I think that’s going to change pretty soon.

5. Anastasia Beverly Hills PRO Series Contour Kit
‘ve had my eye on this product for absolutely ages now and it’s always sold out whenever I try to buy it, which sucks! I have such high expectations for this kit because I’ve seen many good reviews and I use the Anastasia Dip Brow Pomade, which is insane!

If any of you beautiful people have tried any of these products let me know in the comments (:

Review – Real Techniques Bold Metals Collection

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful Valentines Day! So recently I managed to pick up a couple of brushes from the new Real Techniques Bold Metals Collection and thought I’d do a little review for you.

When I first saw this collection I knew I wanted the 301 Flat Contour and an eye brush, so I went for the 201 Pointed Crease. First thing’s first, these brushes are soo lovely to look at! The rose gold and silver handles make them look luxurious and classy. Another thing that I think is really clever about these brushes is the tapered handles, this was really well thought out because this stops the brush from rolling around, which can get really annoying.
Although these brushes are quite pricey, I think they are definitely worth it, you can tell they’re really good quality and have been really well made. I’ll definitely be purchasing a couple more.

301 Flat Contour – £22
I think this is my favourite brush out of the two, I love how dense and soft it is! I used to love contouring before, but now I love it even more. I find this brush really helps to define my cheekbones more, and does it more precisely. I think this brush would as work great with cream products as well as powder, because it is so dense so it blends perfectly.

201 Pointed Crease – £12
I really like this brush for applying shadow in my crease because it’s a perfect shape and fit. It applies my eye shadow really nicely, and doesn’t leave any harsh lines. The only thing that bothers me a bit is that the bristles are quite sharp, so when I put my shadow on it scratches my skin a bit, which is kind of annoying. However this won’t stop me from using it because I generally do like it.

If you would recommend any of the others please let me know in the comments (:

Review – Lime Crime Velvetines

cashmere tube

Hi everyone! So today was a really exciting day for me, after 3 long weeks of waiting my Lime Crime Velvetine finally arrived! I had wanted one of these for sooo long and seeing them all over the internet made me cave. I originally wanted Salem, which is like a burgundy brown colour, however it was sold out so I decided to go for Cashmere. So pleased I did!

If you’ve purchased from Lime Crime before, you’ll understand me when I say the packaging is to die for. From the flowers to the matching writing and tissue paper, it’s lovely! Just seeing this made me even more excited to see my product.

I wore this liquid lipstick today to try it out and I’m absolutely loving it so far. It glides onto your lips so easily and dries pretty quickly. The only thing is that because it dries with a matte finish, it can make your lips look really, really dry, so I would definitely recommend applying a really hydrating lip balm before applying it.

I tried applying it with and without a lip liner and found that for me it worked better with one because I like to slightly overdraw my lips, therefore the liner helps neaten it up. I think this is going to be my new favourite nude because it isn’t too pink and has a slight hint of grey, which I love. Its perfect for both an everyday and evening look because it’s not too intense.

My favourite thing about this product is the smell, omg it actually smells like cake, it’s insane! If you like sickly sweet smells like me then you’ll love this. Whenever I catch sight of it I can’t help but open it and smell it, it’s divine!

If you’ve tried any of the other Velvetines let me know in the comments whether they’re worth purchasing (:

What’s In My Everyday Makeup Bag?

Hi everyone! Recently I sorted my makeup bag out and thought I’d show you what’s inside. I’m currently using the large Ted Baker Finlay makeup bag that I got for Christmas a few year ago. I really like this because it has quite a lot of room inside so it fits a lot in. Another thing I like about it is that it’s made of pvc, so it’s really easy to clean. If you’re clumsy like me then that’s great!
Right lets start, these are my favourite products I use everyday!

On my face I use:

The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser
Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in Deauville
MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in NW20
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair
The Balm Sexy Mama Translucent Powder
MAC Mineralise Skin Finish in Lightscapade
Nars Copacabana Illuminator Nars Laguna Bronzer

On my eyes/brows I use:
Urban Decay Perversion Mascara
L’Oréal Paris Telescopic Mascara
Maybelline Big Eyes Eyeliner
MAC Brow Set in Clear
Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade in Chocolate

On my lips I use:
EOS Blueberry and Acai Lip Balm
Tanya Burr Lipgloss in Champagne Toast
Bobbi Brown Art Stick in Rose Brown

If anyone knows of any other good products please let me know in the comments (:
