Sunday Riley U.F.O Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil

Hey guys!
So you probably won’t know, but I suffer from oily, acne prone skin and everything seems to break me out, which really sucks! I’ve been using the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate for a couple of years now but fancied a change so started hunting online to try and find something that would focus more on clearing my skin. Everywhere I looked I noticed Sunday Riley products keep popping up. I did some research and decided to splurge on their new U.F.O Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil from Space NK.

U.F.O contains 1.5% Salicylic Acid, and is designed to help fight acne and clear congested pores. It contains a number of beneficial plant oils to calm, rehydrate and protect skin, including cucumber seed oil, jojoba oil, pomegranate oil and flax seed oil.

The oil, which retails at £68, comes in a chic glass bottle and has a dropper dispenser. It’s a bright alien green colour (which I love) and has a really strong herbal scent, which you’ll either love or hate, but I kind of like it. It goes onto the skin really nicely and absorbs pretty fast.

At first I was a bit worried that it would irritate my skin because it has such a strong scent, however I was really pleasantly surprised. I’ve been applying 3 drops of this to my freshly cleansed face every night and I noticed a massive difference after only a couple of days. My skin started to clear up (yey), my red acne scars started to fade and my skin kind of had a glow to it. I’ve even had complements from people telling me how much better my skin looks which feels absolutely amazing!

I feel a lot more confident now to go out without makeup on, which to me is great because normally I have full foundation on wherever I go! Now I know it’s quite a pricey product and I don’t normally splurge on skincare, however personally I think it’s worth paying because of how well it works with my skin. To me, U.F.O really is an out-of-this-world product and I would really recommend it to others who also suffer from acne prone skin.

If you know of any fab skincare products to try let me know in the comments and I hope you enjoyed this post :)

New Start – Studying SFX Makeup!

Hey guys, where do I even begin!
Firstly, I hope you’re all well. As you probably know, I’ve not posted on here in soo long it’s ridiculous. When I finished my fashion course last year, I kind of lost track and interest in posting, my brain was pretty much fried, I would start a post and then delete it all because I just couldn’t get my ideas out properly. I decided to put my blog to rest for a while (which ended up being a little over a year ahh) so I could give myself time to get re-inspired, which is exactly what I’ve done!
For as long as I can remember I’ve wanted to study Theatrical makeup because I love gross/bloody makeup haha, so that’s what I decided to do. I enrolled at college for another year and am studying Theatrical and Media Makeup and couldn’t be happier. I feel so excited for everything, including starting my blog up again :)
To ease myself back in, I thought I’d leave you guys with a few photos of my first piece of sfx makeup I created!

LUSH – THE EXPERIMENTER

Hi everyone, so the other day I was in Lush and finally managed to get my hands on their new The Experimenter bath bomb so I thought I’d show you how amazing it is.

After discovering this bath bomb was originally just limited to Lush’s Oxford Street store I was pretty gutted because it looked so intriguing and I had to have it. Then when they finally announced that it was going to be made available nationwide I was so excited!

lush experimenter

I don’t think I’ve ever been as excited about a bath bomb as I was about this one, all of the colours just look so fab! It’s described as ‘your own bathtime motion picture’ and I completely agree, it’s so exciting to watch, and for only £3.95!

As soon as I dropped this into my bath it immediately started to fizz about and created a rainbow of foam, which looked incredible! The colours were so vibrant and bold, it just made it so fun and exciting. Definitely the coolest bath bomb I’ve ever seen! Once it had completely fizzed away, it left the water a really nice deep purply/green colour. I don’t know why but I absolutely love having a dark coloured bath haha.
Another great thing about this bath bomb is that it contains gold glitter, which just makes it even better! Kind of reminds me of mermaid water, I loved it!

lush experimenter2When I first went over to it and picked it up in the shop I was quite surprised by the scent of this because I was kind of expecting it to smell very sweet, similar to the Creamy Candy bubble bar. It smells a bit woody and kind of spicy, which I actually prefer more because I think it’s a lot more relaxing. You can definitely pick up on the vanilla at times though.

The only thing about this bath bomb is that it didn’t leave my skin feeling as soft as the others do, however I wasn’t too bothered by this because the colours and the glitter made up for it. I would definitely purchase this again, it’s so lovely. You can buy it here – The Experimenter

TOPSHOP METALLIC CREAM BLUSH IN AORTA

blush edit 3Hi everyone! I picked up this cream blush the other day and thought I would show you because it’s so pretty.

Whenever I go into Topshop I spend far too long looking at the makeup stand, there’s so many really pretty colours and I love the packaging!
I’ve had my eye on this cream blush for soo long, swatching it every single time I went in, however I never purchased it because I don’t really ever wear blush, never mind cream blush. When I went in Topshop the other day, I noticed it was in the sale for only £4 so I had to pick it up, I couldn’t resist any longer!
blush edit 5

blush edit 4Aorta is a gorgeous metallic cranberry colour, I absolutely love it! As it’s a cream blush, it’s really easy to blend into your skin, leaving you with a subtle, metallic finish. At first, I was a bit worried because it’s quite dark to look at, but when it’s applied it’s kind of like a natural flush of colour.

As it is a metallic blush, I think it would look so pretty in the summer because it has a really nice hint of shimmer, so when it catches the sunlight it would look so pretty!

blush edit 6I definitely want to try out some more cream blushes, so if you know any nice ones, let me know in the comments :)

LOTTIE LONDON

lottie london editHi everyone! Sorry I took a few weeks off, I’ve been really busy with things for college, but I’m finished now (yeeey) so will be back to my weekly posts :)
So a few weeks ago I received some lovely Lottie London goodies to try out so I thought I’d let you know about them.

So if you don’t know, Lottie London is the newest beauty accessories brand found in Superdrug and ASOS, aimed at girls aged between 14-24, with products ranging from nail polish and nail files to makeup brushes and hair ties etc. I really like how they have a really good range of different products, all really affordable, which is so good!

lottie london2 editNail Files – £4.99
I received these 3 nail files and I think they’re so cute, the colours are so bright and great for summer. These are great for nail lovers because you get 3 for only £4.99, which is so good! I really like how they each have little slogan on, I think it’s really fun :)

lottie london3 editBlending Brush – £4.99
I also received the blending brush and I really love it! I use it every single day now because it blends my eyeshadows really well. For only £4.99 I was really surprised at how good the quality was,  I didn’t think it would be as good as it is! My favourite thing about this brush though is the colour, it’s a really pretty lemon colour and I absolutely love it!

lottie london4 editSingle Sided Mirror – £3.99
The last thing I received was this little mirror. Now you can’t go wrong a mirror, you can never have too many! I love the little slogan on this too, I think it gives a really nice touch and looks really cute.
These mirrors come in 3 different colours and all have different slogans;
Pink – ‘READY FOR MY CLOSE UP’
Lilac – ‘#SELFIEREADY’
Turquoise – ‘MADE YOU LOOK, MADE YOU STARE’

lottiie london5 editA really big thank you to Holly for sending me these lovely products! I would really recommend Lottie London, they have some really great products for really great, affordable prices, definitely check them out :)

MY MAC LIPSTICK COLLECTION

mac lipsticks edit

Hi everyone! I’ve been wanting to do my MAC lipstick collection for a while and I think now is the time because although it’s not huge, I’m happy with the collection I have.

If you know me, then you’ll know I’m kind of obsessed with MAC lipsticks, I just love their formula and smell and I think they’re pretty amazing!

MAC LIPSTICKS TOGETHER EDIT

lipstick swatches - darks

1. Cyber
I love this deep purple colour, it’s quite vampy and I think it’s really cool. The only thing I don’t like is because it’s dark, it can be quite patchy on the lips. I find pairing this with MAC’s Nightmoth lip liner makes it last so much longer.

2. Goddess Of The Sea
This lipstick was part of the Alluring Aquatic Collection and it so pretty. It’s kind of  a purple/berry colour and has a cremesheen finish. I don’t really wear this colour much because I feel like it doesn’t suit my skin tone, however it’s still a really lovely colour. Plus the packaging is amazing!

3. Rebel
I completely forgot I had this lipstick! It’s a pinky/berry colour and has a satin finish. I think this is such a pretty colour for summer because it’s quite bright and bold.

4. Film Noir
This is probably my favourite dark lipstick that I own, I love it! I wear this with MAC’s Chestnut lip liner and it looks so lovely and vampy. It’s a brown with red undertones and has a satin finish.

5. Viva Glam III
I really love this lipstick, it’s a really nice browny/plum colour. As it has a matte finish, it lasts quite a long time on your lips, which is great! I went through a faze not that long ago where I would only wear this lipstick, it’s so lovely! I also love that the proceeds is given to the MAC Aids Fund and goes towards helping women, men and kids affected by HIV and  AIDS.

6. Ruby Woo
This is your typical red lipstick, with blue undertones. I love this lipstick because it’s a matte and lasts for ages!

7. Riri Woo
This lipstick was from the Riri Hearts MAC Collection and is so similar to Ruby Woo. I find this is a lot more drying on the lips though and needs reapplying more. I love this packaging too, it’s really fun and girly.

lipstick swatches - nudes8. Creme D’Nude
When I first got this lipstick I would wear it all the time, but now I feel like it washes me out, and doesn’t really suit me too well. I still use it, but as a highlight in the middle of my lips.

9. Free As A Butterfly
I was pretty disappointed with this lip colour at first, but now I’ve started wearing it on days when I can’t be bothered to use lip liner and I love it. It’s from the Cinderella Collection and has the cutest packaging! I love how sheer it is, and the peachy undertone it has, I think it’s so pretty!

10. Pretty Please
This was the first ever MAC lipstick I bought and I think it’s so pretty and sheer. It’s described as a pale pink pearl, and I would have to agree. It’s quite shimmery when applied to the lips which by itself I don’t like, however applied over a darker lip liner, it looks really nice.

11. Syrup
I really like this colour, it’s quite a cloudy pink and has a lustre finish. I think it would be a really lovely summer colour because it’s not too in your face and can be quite sheer.

12. Brave
This is one of my all time favourite nude lipsticks! Paired with MAC’s Soar lip liner it gives you that kind of 90’s lip colour, and it looks so lovely! It’s pinky/beige and has a satin finish. This is definitely one of my go-to lipsticks!

13. Velvet Teddy
Like Brave, this is another one of my favourite nude colours. It’s a deep-toned beige and has a matte finish. I love that it has matte finish because it lasts a really long time on your lips. I love wearing this with Urban Decay’s Liar lip liner, they look so nice together.

14. Twig
I haven’t had this lipstick that long, but I absolutely love it! It’s a muted browny/pink and has a satin finish. This is a lovely everyday lipstick because it’s quite simple, yet is a really nice colour.

15. Verve
Like Twig, I haven’t had this lipstick that long. It’s a really lovely muted brown/plum and has a satin finish. I also like to pair this with Urban Decay’s Liar and I think they look so pretty together. Definitely one of my favourite lip colours!

I hope you like this post! Let me know what your favourite MAC lipstick is in the comments as I’m always on the lookout for a new one :)
