Sunday Riley U.F.O Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil

Hey guys!
So you probably won’t know, but I suffer from oily, acne prone skin and everything seems to break me out, which really sucks! I’ve been using the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate for a couple of years now but fancied a change so started hunting online to try and find something that would focus more on clearing my skin. Everywhere I looked I noticed Sunday Riley products keep popping up. I did some research and decided to splurge on their new U.F.O Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil from Space NK.

U.F.O contains 1.5% Salicylic Acid, and is designed to help fight acne and clear congested pores. It contains a number of beneficial plant oils to calm, rehydrate and protect skin, including cucumber seed oil, jojoba oil, pomegranate oil and flax seed oil.

The oil, which retails at £68, comes in a chic glass bottle and has a dropper dispenser. It’s a bright alien green colour (which I love) and has a really strong herbal scent, which you’ll either love or hate, but I kind of like it. It goes onto the skin really nicely and absorbs pretty fast.

At first I was a bit worried that it would irritate my skin because it has such a strong scent, however I was really pleasantly surprised. I’ve been applying 3 drops of this to my freshly cleansed face every night and I noticed a massive difference after only a couple of days. My skin started to clear up (yey), my red acne scars started to fade and my skin kind of had a glow to it. I’ve even had complements from people telling me how much better my skin looks which feels absolutely amazing!

I feel a lot more confident now to go out without makeup on, which to me is great because normally I have full foundation on wherever I go! Now I know it’s quite a pricey product and I don’t normally splurge on skincare, however personally I think it’s worth paying because of how well it works with my skin. To me, U.F.O really is an out-of-this-world product and I would really recommend it to others who also suffer from acne prone skin.

If you know of any fab skincare products to try let me know in the comments and I hope you enjoyed this post :)

*UPDATE* LILASH – HAS IT WORKED?

Hi everyone, so today I have my LiLash update for you. I’ve just finished my 12 week period using LiLash so I wanted to let you know how I got on with it and how incredible it is!

I received this eyelash serum in March and have used it every day since. For best results, you apply a layer of the serum to the skin just above your lashes. I used to do this every night before I would go to bed because I didn’t have any makeup on, although you can apply this before you apply your makeup.

I can’t even describe how much I have loved using LiLash. Before I would never go out with just mascara on, I would always wear eyeliner because I felt my lashes were too short, however now I hardly wear eye liner because I’m so happy with how much my lashes have grown. As you can see, before my lashes were so short and stumpy, even my bottom ones were longer than them. Now my top ones are so long and I really love them!

The only thing was that the first few weeks of applying it I noticed it would sting a little bit, but as soon as my eyes were used to it, it was completely fine; Because of this, I was a little worried that if I got any in my eye it would really sting, but it actually didn’t sting one bit, it was completely fine!

I would 100% recommend LiLash to you all because I found it absolutely amazing and I am so so happy with the results! A huge thank you to Paige for sending this to me and allowing me to try it out, it’s incredible!

Let me know in the comments if you’ve tried this before and whether it worked as great for you :)

LOTTIE LONDON

lottie london editHi everyone! Sorry I took a few weeks off, I’ve been really busy with things for college, but I’m finished now (yeeey) so will be back to my weekly posts :)
So a few weeks ago I received some lovely Lottie London goodies to try out so I thought I’d let you know about them.

So if you don’t know, Lottie London is the newest beauty accessories brand found in Superdrug and ASOS, aimed at girls aged between 14-24, with products ranging from nail polish and nail files to makeup brushes and hair ties etc. I really like how they have a really good range of different products, all really affordable, which is so good!

lottie london2 editNail Files – £4.99
I received these 3 nail files and I think they’re so cute, the colours are so bright and great for summer. These are great for nail lovers because you get 3 for only £4.99, which is so good! I really like how they each have little slogan on, I think it’s really fun :)

lottie london3 editBlending Brush – £4.99
I also received the blending brush and I really love it! I use it every single day now because it blends my eyeshadows really well. For only £4.99 I was really surprised at how good the quality was,  I didn’t think it would be as good as it is! My favourite thing about this brush though is the colour, it’s a really pretty lemon colour and I absolutely love it!

lottie london4 editSingle Sided Mirror – £3.99
The last thing I received was this little mirror. Now you can’t go wrong a mirror, you can never have too many! I love the little slogan on this too, I think it gives a really nice touch and looks really cute.
These mirrors come in 3 different colours and all have different slogans;
Pink – ‘READY FOR MY CLOSE UP’
Lilac – ‘#SELFIEREADY’
Turquoise – ‘MADE YOU LOOK, MADE YOU STARE’

lottiie london5 editA really big thank you to Holly for sending me these lovely products! I would really recommend Lottie London, they have some really great products for really great, affordable prices, definitely check them out :)

RECENT MAKEUP HAUL

Hi everyone. I went shopping a couple of days ago and picked up some amazing bargains in TKMAXX so I thought I’d show you :) At the minute, TKMAXX is probably my favourite shop to buy makeup because you can get some amazing brands for a fraction of the price. If you get the chance to I would definitely have a pop in!

Too Faced

Lip Injection Color Bomb in Bigger Berry & Eastwood Red
These were the first things I saw and immediately knew I needed to buy them! Originally, I only purchased one, which was Bigger Berry, however I realised that I probably wouldn’t get them that cheap anywhere else so I went back and bought another shade. I was lucky enough to find these for £5.99 each, which is great considering they normally cost £15.

Normally I don’t like lip tints because I can never find a colour that I like, but I absolutely love these ones. They smell so fruity and amazing. I don’t really like wearing pinky colours, so I really like that these are buildable so I can have a very sheer colour. Another thing I love is that these are lip plumpers. I’m not really sure why, but I love the tingly feeling you get when these are applied, makes me feel like they’re actually working. I find them so moisturising as well, they leave my lips super soft.

Amazing Face Foundation in Warm Honey –
I was sceptical to buy this at first because it’s quite dark, however in the end I decided to because it was only £5.99 and I thought it would be a really nice/subtle contour shade. I really don’t understand how TKMAXX can sell this for £5.99 when it would normally cost £23.

I really like how this contains SPF15, since it’s starting to get warmer in the UK now it’s going to be really nice for summer. I haven’t actually used this yet, however I’m very excited to try it out, I hope it doesn’t end up looking to orangey on my skin.

Illamasqua

Fine Pencil in Classic –
Like the foundation, I wasn’t sure whether to purchase this or not because when I tested it, it felt quite sharp and hard, which put me off a little. The thing that swayed me was the colour, I really love the colour! It’s kind of a dull grey colour, which I think would make a lovely eyeliner.

I found that when it warmed up, it softened up a lot, which I was so pleased about because I think it’s a really nice product and I would have been pretty gutted if I didn’t end up liking it. I managed to get this for £4.99 instead of £11, so I was pretty pleased.

Lipstick in Magnetism
The lipstick was a massive yes for me. Illamasqua is probably my favourite brand at the minute so when I saw this for £5.99 I couldn’t say no! It’s classed as a deep rasberry pink and is such a pretty colour. Like I said above, I don’t normally go for pinks but this is a really lovely colour and I think it would look really nice over the top of a brown lip liner.

Stila

Stay All Day Vinyl Lipgloss in Terracotta Vinyl
I’ve never tried anything from Stila before so when I saw these products I was really excited. This is another thing that I knew I needed to buy as soon as I saw it. It’s a gorgeous browny/orangy colour, so basically like the name a terracotta haha.

I love that this lip product contains organic green coffee oil because my lips get really dry, so using something on them that contains oil to help hydrate them is great. Another thing I love about this is the smell, it smells so sweet and toffee like, I love it.

Like all of the others, I got this for a really good price. I only payed £4.99 for it instead of £18

Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Liner in Indigo
I’ve been looking for a new eyeliner for a while now, so I thought I would try this Stila one. I always wear black, so I decided to have a change it up a bit and go for a navy colour. I have blue eyes so I was a bit worried that it would look a bit odd, however I think it could look quite nice applied when I’m experimenting with different eyeshadow colours.

The only only thing that i’m not too keen on is that it’s waterproof. I know it’s probably a good thing, however it takes so long and is so hard to take off, however for £3.99 it was a bargain.

Sparkle Waterproof Liquid Liner in Electric
Now i’ve definitely saved the best until last. Th is my absolute favourite thing I bought, I’m obsessed with it! I don’t think I’ve ever seen and eyeliner as pretty in my entire life. Its’s so pigmented and sparkly and amazing! This is one of those products that when you get you can’t top looking at it and trying it. the fact I picked it up for only £3.99 as well instead of £14 just made my day.

I know it’s not an everyday colour, but I think winged out it will look so pretty for a night out. It will really reflect the light and look amazing! I also really like how it has a thin sponge tip, makes it a lot easier to apply.

MAC Cinderella ♡

Hi everyone, so today I have a really exciting post for you! As you’ll all probably know, MAC collaborated with Disney to come up with the very gorgeous Cinderella Collection, inspired by the new Cinderella movie, which will be released very soon. Being a huge Disney and MAC fan this was soo exciting for me, I knew I needed to get something!

When the collection release online last week, I was lucky enough to pick up a lipstick and powder, although I did really want the palette ): However I’m just happy I managed to actually get something before it all sold out.

MAC CINDERELLA EDIT3

MAC CINDERELLA EDIT2

MAC CINDERELLA EDIT4Personally, I think the pearlised light blue packaging with the gold is absolutely stunning and fits the Cinderella theme perfectly. I know some people have compared it to something you’d buy for a child, but I disagree, I really like it! I definitely feel like Cinderella herself would approve haha.

MAC CINDERELLA EDIT9

MAC CINDERELLA EDIT5

Coupe D’Chic Iridescent Pressed Powder – £23

I’m kind of disappointed with this pressed powder, it’s a light peachy gold colour with gold shimmer, and is so beautiful in the pan! However when I apply it to my cheek bones, it hardly shows up, which is kind of annoying. It’s kind of like a very, very subtle highlighter. The main problem I have with this is it needs building up quilt a lot to get a good colour pay off simply because it’s so sheer. It is very pretty though once it’s been built up.

MAC CINDERELLA EDIT10

MAC CINDERELLA EDIT 7Free As A Butterfly Lustre Lipstick – £17

I originally wanted the Royal Ball lipstick, but it was sold out so I went for this one and i’m so pleased I did. It’s described as a semi-sheer golden nude, and is so so pretty. I tend to stick with more brown based nudes, however I think this would look lovely over the top of a mauve lip pencil, just to darken it up a bit.

MAC CINDERELLA EDIT16

MAC CINDERELLA EDIT 8

MAC CINDERELLA EDIT17As you can see in the swatches, with only 2 strokes Free As A Butterfly is so pretty. For Coupe D’Chic, I used  about 6 strokes to get that finish and it’s still hardly visible. I would say that it’s best for lighter skin colours, simply because it is so sheer.

If you’ve tried any of the other Cinderella products let me know in the comments what you think of them, and if you haven’t let me know what you’d like to try (:
